Tot Drop
Tot Drop, 3 months – 3 years
Give yourself a well-deserved break! Take a group exercise class, work
out, or go for a swim – the YMCA will take care of your youngster. Tot
Drop offers a stimulating, loving, and safe environment for your child,
for up to two hours at a time. Activities include
gym time, story-time, music-time, and much more. To schedule your

YMCA Daycare is designed to provide
stimulating early learning experiences, including academic, cognitive,
fine and gross motor, physical fitness, social and emotional
development.
When your child reaches Preschool age those same
wonderful experiences that they have gained in day care are expanded
upon. The YMCA Preschool is designed to give each child the
opportunity to learn and grow through specialized activities.
What’s unique about our program are the additional enrichment classes in
which our children participate. Children not only learn about
letters, numbers, colors, and character development but receive
instruction in swimming, arts & crafts, sports, gym games, dance, and
tumble tots.
Infants classroom maintains a 4:1 child
to teacher ratio with a maximum of 8 children per class.
2s classroom maintains a 5:1 child to teacher ratio with a maximum of 10
children per class.
3s classroom maintains a 7:1 child to teacher ratio with a maximum of 16
children per class.
4s-5s classroom maintains an 8:1 child to teacher ratio with a maximum
of 17 children per class.
After School Care
YMCA
School-age Child Care, 5 - 12 years
For children who would otherwise be alone after school, or for those who
want some social interaction, the YMCA is the place to be. Our staff
provides a wide variety of activities, excellent supervision for
children, and peace of mind for parents. With an emphasis on
values, activities range from homework assistance, sports, games, arts
and crafts, swimming lessons, and social opportunities. The YMCA will
consider requests for services to be provided at local schools from
Croton to Hastings.

YMCA "School’s Out!" Tarrytown, a collaboration with TUFSD
For children in grades K-6, in the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns.
After school care offers homework help, fine arts, gym time,
recreational swimming, and much more. This program operates 2:30
p.m.-6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
YMCA "School’s Out!" Elmsford
Serving students from both the Dixson and Grady Schools, the program
runs Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. at the Grady School.
The program offers homework help, arts & crafts, gym time, outside play,
and much more.
YMCA "School's Out!" Briarcliff Manor
Serving K - 5 grade students at the Todd School in Briarcliff Manor.
The program offers homework help, fine arts, sports, outside play, and a
wide variety of enrichment activities.
YMCA "School's Out!" Ossining
Serving students in grades 1 & 4 from the Brookside & Clairmont
Schools. The program offers homework help, fine arts, sports,
outside play, and a wide variety of enrichment activities. The program
runs form the dismissal of school until 6:30 p.m. at the Brookside
School.

Daylong & Vacation Camps
Enjoy fun-filled days at the Y during
school breaks. Children participate in swim lessons, recreational swim,
sports, art, dance, group games and a special trip or activity.
Registration Deadline: One Week prior to the day of the program.
It is very important that you register on time for the program. If
we do not have a minimum of 10 children per day we will cancel the
program.

We offer half-day and early dismissal programs for Briarcliff Manor,

Tiny Tots Camp- Ages 2-3
Now even your youngest ones can enjoy summer camp! Children will
engage in parallel play, creative movement, arts & crafts, tumble tots,
and embark on a summer adventure with our caring staff. For more

Kinder Camp- Ages 3-8

Based at the YMCA, Kinder Camp is an introduction to day camp and is
designed to complement your child’s pre-school learning and development.
All campers will participate in the following: sports, dance, nature,
swimming, art, computers and a theme-based trip each session. For

Camp Combe

The YMCA Camp Combe program is designed for children ages 4 –15 to
enhance self-esteem, build interpersonal relationships, develop skills,
appreciate the environment, work on character development and of course,
have fun! Camp Combe is located on 80 acres of wilderness amidst trees,
fields and hills in Putnam Valley. We have a large capacity swimming
pool, sports fields, basketball, volleyball, archery, ropes courses, art
barn and a playground. Additional activities include arts & crafts,
nature and science, adventure mountain and special events. Featuring
Mini Camp, Big Camp, Arts Camp, Camp Y Tech, Camp Upward Bound.
Reservations and deposits are being accepted now. For more information

Summer Shakespeare Camp
Two Camps this July:
For students entering grades 2- 5 and 6-12. Intensive, four-week
program culminating in multiple outdoor performances of
Shakespeare at Patriot's Park in Tarrytown. Hone your craft, design costumes, create

Classes
Children jump, climb, tumble, and slide their way into fun! Children
ages 12 months
(walking) through four years of age work with parents and instructor to
play games, sing
songs, and use innovative movement education equipment to acquire
confidence,
coordination, and socialization skills. Dress children appropriately in
sweats, shorts, t-shirt or
leotard, bare feet, hair tied up, and no jewelry, please. There are four
tumble tots classes

Healthy
Kids Day!
The Family YMCA at Tarrytown will hold its annual Healthy
Kids Day April 24, 2010from 11 am to 3 pm outdoors in Patriot's Park,
Tarrytown. Held in conjunction with the Rotary Club of the Tarrytowns
Duck Race. Last year fun was had by all, and the Raffle
raised over $2000 for our Scholarship Fund (prizes ranged from dinner at
Blue Hill at Stone Barns to jewelry from Harnick Jewelers).
YMCA Family Fun Run/Walk:
The Family YMCA at Tarrytown will host its annual 5K Run and Family Fun
Mile Walk on Sunday, June
6, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. (right before the Tarrytown Street Fair). The first
100 participants receive a
gift and a goodie bag. Last year, close to $2,000 was raised for the
Julian Holden Geach scholarship for summer camp, which enabled two
deserving children to attend Camp Combe. Contact Diane McCarthy at
ext. 20 for further information on this year's race.
Family Time!
Join us for one or more of the following family activities.
Family Swim:
Family Pre-K Recreational Swim. For children 6 months to 7
years; child must have at least one parent/guardian in the water with
them at all times. Only one non-swimmer per adult permitted.
The YMCA will not provide flotation devices.
Tuesday & Thursday 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Saturday 3:15 pm - 3:45 pm
Sunday 1:30 - 2:00 pm
Family Recreational Swim. A great way to spend quality family
time! For adults 18 years and older to
swim with youth – either youth or adult can be a current member.
Non-member must pay a guest fee.
Adults must supervise youth in the pool area at all times. Swimmers must
be able to stand in the
shallow end of the pool or swim on their own, otherwise an adult must
accompany youth in the water
at all times. Only one non-swimmer per adult permitted. Youth wishing to
swim in the deep end must
pass a deep-water test. Member owned flotation devices are permitted.
The YMCA will not provide
flotation devices. Guests are welcome to join the fun on an unlimited
basis.
Free to members, $10.00 for each adult guest and $5.00 for each youth
guest or purchase a Parent
Activity Guest Card at the Member Service Desk in the lobby.
Friday: 8:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.
Saturday: 3:45 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Sunday: 2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
Family Gym:
Come and play with us; free to YMCA Family members. Join us on Sunday
afternoons for an open Tumble Tots Gym Time. A variety of equipment will
be set up for use by Families with young children. This program will run
from January through March.
Sunday: 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Parent Guest Card:
Available to parents of pre-school and youth members at a reduced guest
rate of $40 per 10 visits.
This pass enables parents to participate in family programs with their
children. The card can be
purchased at the Member Service Desk.
